Congratulations! Yippee! ALL 5th grade students completed their summer reading assignments. They were awarded an extra recess on the commons August 14th. Welcome mew 5th graders: Tyler and Mackenzie Social Studies: 5th graders are learning the location of our fifty states and the capital of each state. Weekly tests are given covering one of the five regions of the United States. At the end of the nine weeks, a cumulative test will be given. Know the nifty-fifty! State projects presented on a tri-fold display board are due October 1st. "State Fair" will be held on October 2nd. Time Period Projects - Hutchison due September 16th and Emert's due October 6th Reading: 1st nine weeks independent reading assignment: one nonfiction space book, one science fiction book (books must be on assigned level). A response page and test are also required.
